ISOBOX

ISOBOX is an isolator module for AS and Evolution loop which allows to exclude a portion of the loop in the event of a short circuit. In this way the part of the loop not involved by the short circuit maintains the normal operation.

It is possible to power the module directly from the loop. It must be install every 32 detectors/addresses and/or based on the arrangement of the devices on the loop.

ISOBOX is composed of an electronic board inserted in a small dimensions box with terminals. It has two yellow LED to indicate the direction of the short circuit and has the ability to replicate the LED outside through special terminals. ISOBOX is certified CPR 305/2011 EN54-17 (ex CPD/89/106 certification).

  • Isolator circuit current
    • 30mA (ILMAX) of dispersion within the circuit of the isolator in presence of a short circuit on the loop.
    • 500mA (ISmax) maximum supported current during a short circuit on the loop.
    • 500mA (Icmax) maximum supported current when the short circuit on the loop take place
    Response time
    • <100ms after the short circuit, <100ms to reset after eliminating the short circuit
    Intervention voltage (VSO)
    • 4.8 V ± 5%
    Reset voltage (Vsc)
    • 7.4 V ± 5%.
